Weld County, Colorado, United States, is home to the Town of Frederick, a Statutory Town. Frederick, Colorado is located in the Greeley, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area and the Front Range Urban Corridor. There are 9,742 acres (39.423 km2) of land and 80 acres (0.324 km2) of water in the town.

 

Frederick is immediately adjacent to Firestone to the north, and Dacono to the south. Frederick, Firestone, and Dacono are often referred to as the ‘Tri-Towns’ or the ‘Tri-Town area’. The area, more generally, is called Carbon Valley. Next closest are Erie to the southwest, Longmont to the west, Fort Lupton to the east, and an unincorporated area of Weld County called DelCamino to the northwest. In the incorporated area of Frederick, there is an unincorporated section called Evanston.

 

Interstate 25 or I-25 is the main road through Frederick with an interchange with US 52 to the south. US 52 runs east and west, leading Fort Lupton to the east and Niwot to the west. Dwight D. Eisenhower to the south of the interchange is concurrent with I-25. Godding Hollow Parkway emerges eastward from 18 Street.

 

Centennial Park, Eagle Valley Park, Frederick Skatepark and Frederick Recreation Area are the few parks within Frederick. Frederick High School and Legacy Elementary School serve the residents of both Firestone and Frederick. Shopping areas along Interstate 25 include Stevinson Lexus of Frederick, Transwest Truck Trailer RV of Frederick, and Stapp Interstate Toyota.
