The Ballpark at Erie is a state-of-the-art baseball facility located in the heart of Colorado’s beautiful Rocky Mountains. It is an open-air ballpark with a seating capacity of 5,000 spectators. It was founded in early 2016 by a group of local investors and developers, led by Mayor Steven Reed.
At the beginning of its making, the investors planned to build a small, basic ballpark with only standard features. However, after seeing the potential for growth in the area and the increasing demand for baseball facilities, they decided to expand their vision and turn The Ballpark into an impressive sports complex.
The Ballpark at Erie is a state-of-the-art facility equipped with all the necessary amenities to accommodate both amateur and professional events. It features high-quality playing surfaces as well as top-of-the-line lighting systems, scoreboards, and sound equipment. Its spacious seating areas are covered by retractable roofs that protect spectators from sun or rain. Additionally, there is enough room for parking lots, concession stands, souvenir shops, and even luxury suites.
The Ballpark features 4 state of the art lighted softball/baseball fields covering 300-foot fences which can accommodate youth and adult softball, girls’ fastpitch softball, youth baseball, and a variety of other activities. The Ballpark at
Erie, Weld and Boulder Counties is a game-only facility, with fields not available for practice rentals.
Furthermore, the place is also easily accessible for people with disabilities as it has an elevated walkway that goes around the entire ballpark. While their parking area is just right behind the main gate so that fans don’t have to walk far to get inside the ballpark.
