With more than 84,000 square feet, Castle Rock Community Recreation Center is an excellent facility for residents of all ages to enjoy a wide range of fitness programs, sports activities, educational programs, classes, special events, and several other types of entertainment. With an overall goal of offering amenities that are appealing to people in all stages of life, the facility encourages healthy and active lifestyles, creative development, and the chance to experience social growth. From classes for toddlers to Silver Sneakers Senior Fitness, this recreation center offers programs that are designed to spark an interest in every person living in the area.
There is a recreation pool at the center, so whatever aquatic program you need can probably be found there. The rec center’s lap pool is used by individuals wanting to swim laps as well as various swim teams and programs. Consequently, before going to the rec center and expecting that the lap pool is open at all times, check the lap pool hours and schedule on the rec center website. While the leisure pool at the rec center offers warm water, slides, a lazy river, and more. It’s a great place for kids and adults alike to have great fun. The leisure pool is typically open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am – 7:00 pm and Sunday from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Each week, residents and non-residents can choose from more than 100 fitness classes. Classes can be attended by purchasing a pass or paying for daily admission. Fitness classes at the rec center range from beginner to advance levels. You are sure to find something to spark your interest in the wide variety of classes offered. The rec center also offers aquatics classes, an open gym, weights, personal trainers, and more. While the athletics program offered by the rec center is filled with popular sports programs and classes. From baseball and softball to basketball and volleyball, the athletic division of the rec center offers both children and adults a wide range of options.
If you have an interest in arts and crafts, dancing, painting, or any other type of cultural arts, the rec center has a special interest class for you as well. Classes for adults and youth are offered at the rec center, and new classes form every few months. Other educational classes are also offered to the public, such as the American Red Cross Babysitting/CPR Certification Boot Camp. Note that the rec center strives to offer classes to everyone with an interest. Scholarships are also available that can help cover the cost of fees.
Furthermore, there’s a Kid Zone at the rec center that offers a large assortment of classes and events that are designed specifically for the community’s younger residents. The purpose of the Kid Zone is to provide an environment where children can learn, explore, use their creativity, be physically active, and meet new friends. For just a few dollars per hour, you can leave your child under the responsible supervision of the child care staff at the rec center. Drop-in babysitting is also available, and you may choose to purchase a 20-hour punch card or a monthly pass.
